1931-S 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. Given a slightly higher mintage of 1.8 million coins, one might suspect that the 1931-S is more readily obtainable in the finer Mint State grades than its similarly dated D-mint counterpart. This is most certainly not the case. The otherwise adequately struck '31-S is apt to display grade-limiting incompleteness of detail over the central and lower crossbands that bound the reverse fasces. Not so the present Gem. Every element of the design is sharply brought up with full, flowing mint frost. Both sides are golden tinged with nary a distracting abrasion to report. Population: 27 in 66 Full Bands, 3 finer (1/03).From the Jay Eisenberg Collection. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
