Issued by International Harvester in 1931 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the invention of the reaper by Cyrus Hall McCormick. The reaper was a mechanized farm implement that paved the way for widespread development of agricultural tools. 25,000 medals were struck by Medallic Art Company and distributed as souvenirs throughout the world. This piece is currently tied with four other medals as the finest graded by NGC.
