Description: For your consideration is this vintage box bow squash blossom. This squash has four petals instead of three, which usually indicates a better made kind of squash. It also has handmade beads. The Naja is stamped and set with three turquoise stones. This is an old Navajo necklace from the Ashby collection and it is the first time this item has been on the market in a very, very long time! The Ashby collection was handed down from their 2 grandfathers, both of which worked on the Navajo reservation in the early 1900s. Maker: Unknown artist, but Navajo by style. Approx. Age: Circa 1930s. Size: Fits 22” around the neck. Naja measures 2-1/4”long x 2-1/2” wide. Weighs 135.5 grams. Condition: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $5 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
