This is a grand solid mahogany highboy with Queen Ann Cabriole Legs and Broken Pediment. Pediments were usually curved shapes such as scrolls or arches at the top of the Highboy. When the arch was disrupted in the middle, just short of the apex, a gap was provided for an ornamental finial. Since the arch was not continuous, it was called a broken pediment. This highboy has seven drawers. The top draw is smaller, then four larger drawers and another small one and the last is a large one. It has been fully restored and is in excellent condition, ready for your home. The hardware is original, and it measures 71 1/2" high, 35" wide and 18 1/2" deep. There is a Genuine Mahogany label in the drawer, that tells you that Genuine Mahogany grows only in West Indies, Tropical America and West Coast Africa. There is also a brass plaque from Kling Factories, Mayville, N.Y. For shipping we do have a company you can contact, Vintage Transport, or use your own shipper. You do not need the weight, just the dimensions for a quote. The piece would need to be picked up within 30 days.
