For your consideration is this Papago Indian hand woven Tohono O'oham circa 1930's. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. This basket shows yucca construction with geometric designs across the piece with a nice tight weaving. The condition of this basket is fair showing some wear to the outside coils of the lid of the basket, and some wear to the top of the outside wall of the basket itself. The measurements of this this lidded basket are 3 1/4" x 7 1/4".
