1930's Native American San Ildefonso Print by Awa Tsireh, framed and under glass, done in Europe, measures approx.14.75'' x 19.25'', Alfonso Roybal, who signed his paintings Awa Tsireh, gained widespread recognition as a painter during the 1920's and 1930's; his paintings are included in many major museum collections. Buyers Pay Actual Shipping and Handling Charges(see terms and conditions for more information) As a child in San Ildefonso Pueblo, Awa Tsireh sometimes painted pottery made by his mother, Alfonsita Martínez. Even before attending San Ildefonso Day School, where he was given drawing materials, Tsireh made sketches of animals and ceremonial dances. After completing day school, he began painting watercolors with his uncle, Crescencio Martínez

*** If an item is materially different than was described by the Seller, Buyer shall have 48 hours from the date the property is received to notify the Seller. After the 48 hour period all items are considered as is, without recourse. No buyers premium or shipping will be re-embursed on items returned for any reason.
*** By bidding in this auction you are entering a binding legal contract to pay for your items within 1 week of the close of the auction. Non payment will result in a non pay warning. Items not paid for upon the non pay warning, will be relisted for resale within 10 days. You represent that you are over the age of 21 and can enter into legal contracts.
*** The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser, regardless of the time the bids were placed. In the event of a tie between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after sale, the Company's sale record shall be conclusive in all respects.
