1930's Jack Johnson Signed Blank Business Card. His tremendous boxing abilities and preference for white women almost cost him his life, and did ultimately cost him his title and his freedom. This predecessor to heroic black athletes like Jackie Robinson and Muhammad Ali shows his gentle side here, as he pens a short note to a child. He writes, "To Little Mary Grace, good luck may you live long and be happy From Former Champ Jack Johnson." All ink is 10/10. Card shows one insignificant spot of foxing, and is glued to an album page which features an autograph from character actor Benny Rubin on the verso. LOA from PSA/DNA.
