<B>1930 Ty Cobb Signed Check Display.</B></I> Gorgeous display piece is highlighted by a desirable early Cobb check drawn from the Hall of Fame legend's Augusta, Georgia account. Most checks from the Georgia Peach tend to be later and smaller than this 3x8" specimen, which is filled out and signed entirely in Cobb's 10/10 black fountain pen ink. Three vertical folds and some paper loss at left edge do not affect the writing or signature in any noteworthy fashion. The check is beautifully displayed in a shadow box frame featuring the famous photo of Cobb attacking third base, which rests upon an actual base dating to the era of Cobb's dominance.
