1930-S 10C MS67 Full Bands PCGS. This issue's original mintage of 1.8 million pieces is on the low side for the series, but it is a relatively plentiful coin in Mint State. Produced during the first full year of the Great Depression, the '30-S probably remained in federal vaults until the 1934-1935 period. When they were released at that time, many examples found their way into collector, dealer, and speculator hands before acquiring any wear. Up to this point, little has been said about the striking quality of the typical 1930-S Dime. It is not good, with the result that, while collectors should have little difficulty locating an Uncirculated survivor, they will seldom have the opportunity to acquire a high grade Full Bands representative. A Superb Gem that should be of instant importance to Registry Set collectors, this ice-white example is smooth with fulsome mint frost. There is not a single mentionable abrasion, as one should expect for the designated grade. Population: 2 in 67 Full Bands, none are finer (10/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
