<B>1930 Notre Dame Football Player's Personal Collection.</B></I> Bidders that participated in our October 2005 Signature Auction may remember the Knute Rockne signed certificate presented to Jack Saunders for his role in bringing the 1930 NCAA Football Championship to South Bend. Here we present four more pieces consigned to Heritage by the Saunders family, each presented to Jack during his collegiate gridiron days, and beyond. Each piece is listed with size in its original frame. 1) 1930 panoramic photo taken at dedication of Notre Dame Stadium. Fine, undamaged condition, 8.5x26". 2) 1931 oversized calendar celebrating the 1930 Championship team. Features images of Rockne and star athletes with a poem by Grantland Rice and a small calendar along the bottom. NRMT, 18x24". 3) 1931 pass allowing Saunders to use several health clubs in Southern California while the Fighting Irish were in town for the final game of their undefeated season. Light water staining at bottom right, some wear to frame, 6x7.5". 4) Presentational certificate issued to Saunders for the thirtieth reunion of the Championship 1930 team, 14.5x19".
