<B>1930 Assay Commission Medal. AU55 Uncertified.</B></I> Julian AC-74, R.4. Bronze, 50.9 mm., 901.2 grains. A signed medal with the name of commission member Robert S. Graham engraved on the edge. President Herbert Hoover was J.R. Sinnock's choice for the obverse motif, and he is shown in profile to the right. Above, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. In the left field is MCMXXIX, a reference to the 1929 inauguration of Hoover. His name is displayed in the right field. The reverse is the same design used in 1929, except for the new date. Matte bronze surfaces with golden-brown color and considerable deeper olive toning, especially on the obverse. Even though Graham's name appears on this medal and the 1931 Assay medal in this sale, his name does not appear anywhere in the book by Pessolano-Filos.<BR><I>Ex: Presidential Coin & Antique Co., Inc.
