1929 Rolls-Royce Phanton II Dual Cowl Touring 7668 cc six-cylinder in-line engine, rated at 130 horsepower, four-speed manual synchromesh gearbox, beam axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs front and rear, four-wheel mechanically operated drums with mechanical servo brakes; wheelbase: 150Ô-The Phantom II was an incredibly successful car given that international sales of 1,672 units were produced against the difficulties of The Depression era years. The testament to the excellence of the cars is the number of surviving examples running and working today with their original machinery. These cars are revered for their mechanical capabilities and quality of detail build and construction; a milestone classic in every sense of the expression. When introduced in 1929, the Phantom II incorporated many changes designed to perfect the already near-perfect Phantom.
