<B>1929 Philadelphia Athletics Panoramic Team Photograph.</B></I> Only one American League team could stand toe to toe with the mighty Murderer's Row Yankees of the late 1920's, and you will find them here, standing in a long line with their wise leader Connie Mack in his customary dark suit at center. Fellow Hall of Famers Collins, Foxx, Cochrane, Grove and Simmons are likewise captured in the crispest sepia tones, framed against the background of the Shibe Park grandstands. A two-inch square area of staining at upper left remains mercifully clear of the white-uniformed players and is frankly of minor concern.
