1928 World Series Program (New York)
1928 World Series Program (New York). The Yanks avenged their 1926 Series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals this October and ran their Series winning streak to eight with a second consecutive four-game sweep. This program was issued to a fan present for the first game of the '28 Fall Classic, with the pencil-marked interior scorecard making note of Meusel's fourth inning homer, and Bottomley's in the seventh. A center vertical crease is the result of the program having been folded in half lengthwise, but otherwise it remains in fine shape, solidly bound by its original staples with just an inch or so of spine separation at each end. There are no other noteworthy tears, creases or stains. A fine relic from the greatest days of the Murderer's Row Yankees.
