<B>1928 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed Baseball.</B></I> The National League pennant winners fell victim to the legendary Murderers Row-era Yankees this October, but there is certainly no shame in coming up short to the likes of Ruth and Gehrig. A quick check of names on this ONL (Heydler) ball explains why the Cards were the class of the National League: Alexander, Maranville, Haines, Frisch, Hafey and Bottomley are among the twenty-three autographs present. Signature quality is understandably imperfect, though all names listed are readily legible. Still a very important and desirable sphere. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
