<B>1928-S $1 MS65 NGC.</B></I> Mint State 1928-S Peace dollars are seen with regularity on the market today, but most are in the lower grade levels of Uncirculated, as they are poorly struck and/or heavily bagmarked. NGC and PCGS have certified several thousand pieces through near-Gem, but full Gem coins are another story. Indeed, the two services have seen fewer than 90 MS65s, and a mere two examples finer!<BR> Delicate pastel golden-tan color bathes intensely lustrous surfaces, and a well executed strike levees better-than-average definition on the motifs, including the normally weak centers. Close inspection under high magnification shows just a few minute marks, fewer perhaps than what might be expected for the grade.
