1928 PONTIAC 6-28
General Motors produced over 130,000 Pontiac 6-28s in 1928, making the car the fifth best-selling car in America. Not bad for a marque that was only three years old and competing head-on with the mighty Model A Ford.

This two-door Sedan is powered by a 3,058cc straight-six engine producing 48bhp – a figure aided, no doubt, by the twin cylinder heads – you did spot that didn’t you? Presumably Pontiac’s engineers really did believe that two heads are better than one. The split head 6 is paired with a three speed manual transmission. This is a running, driving vehicle that you can take the family out for Ice cream on a summer day. The engine runs amazingly without any vibrations and starts every time.

The 1928 6-28 featured a taller radiator shell, deeply crowned fenders and full length body line is an example of an older frame off restoration with zero body or undercarriage rust. All the wood has been replaced and is in excellent condition. Body is straight clear of any dents other than a small bend in the bottom corner of the passenger door.

Attractively finished in white with a fabric covered roof and 12-spoke artillery wheels. Simple instrument panel and soft corduroy upholstery (if not original certainly the correct style) Interior is in excellent condition with a flawless headliner and rear roll down windows
