1928-D 25C MS65 PCGS. Completely untoned, lustrous surfaces greet the observer of this Denver-mint quarter. It exhibits a somewhat better-than-average strike for the issue, which according to J.H. Cline (2007) is: "Usually soft or mushy ... ." Strong obverse definition occurs on the chain mail, the stars, and the vertical lines of the inner shield, the latter of which frequently lack detail. While not full, Liberty's head displays strong definition (Cline contends that 1% or less of this issue comes with Full Head detail). There are no marks worthy of individual mention.

Coin Engraver: Hermon A.
