1927 Washington Senators Team Signed Baseball. The legendary Walter Johnson added the final five victories to his career total of 417 this season, closing out twenty-one seasons of brilliance on the Major League mound. His black fountain pen ink signature projects at an impressive 8/10 on the side panel of this OAL (Johnson) ball inhabited by twenty-six members of this Golden Age juggernaut. Plenty of 1924 World Champs remain on this later model, including Hall of Famers Rice, Goslin and Harris, star catcher Muddy Ruel, Judge, Bluege and Marberry. Rounding out the Hall of Fame outfield, in his single season of service to the Senators, is Tris Speaker on the sweet spot. Signature quality averages a solid 7/10, with only Marberry of the noted names dipping more than a point below that figure. A coating of shellac has provided the ball with an antique tobacco shade, but has served its intended purpose admirably. A tough ball with no shortage of prewar icons. LOA from PSA/DNA.
