<B>1927-S S$1 MS65 NGC.</B></I> The 1927-S is readily available in lower Mint State grades. It becomes scarce in near-Gem condition, and at the MS65 level, the 1927-S is one of the rarest issues in the Peace dollar series. The present Gem displays bright, intensely lustrous surfaces, and nice motif definition, especially on the obverse. The reverse feather detail is somewhat soft in spots, which is typical of a date that is usually poorly struck throughout. A few light marks on Liberty's cheek and neck and on the eagle just barely keep this marvelous example from the next highest grade.
