1927-S 50C MS64 PCGS. One of only five half dollar issues between 1922 and 1932, the 1927-S likely saw extensive circulation throughout the late 1920s and early 1930s. The scarcity of Gem examples enhances the desirability of attractive near-Gems such as this bright-silver survivor. Typically struck for an S-mint Walker, the surfaces are predominantly smooth with a pleasing frosted finish. Some central weakness of strike is the only distraction that separates this example from an even higher grade.

Coin Engraver: Adolph A.
