1927-D 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The 1927-D Mercury dime is quite scarce in Mint State. The issue is also notorious for its poor overall quality, especially weakness in the peripheries and in the central and diagonal bands (David Lange, 2005). This Gem displays fullness on all of the bands, and much better-than-average definition on the peripheral elements. Highly lustrous surfaces are covered in light gray and rainbow coloration on the obverse, while gray-tan patina on the reverse is sprinkled with russet. A couple of light obverse marks are not worthy of discussion.

Coin Engraver: Adolph A.
