<B>1927<$20> MS66 NGC.</B></I> Solidly struck with frosty peach-gold surfaces. For whatever reason, Philadelphia Mint double eagles struck between 1922 and 1928 have a much higher survival rate than their corresponding branch mint issues, with the exception of the common 1923-D. An attractive piece that is clearly a step up from the usual Gem; in fact, NGC has certified just 27 pieces finer (9/06).
