1927 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS. Perhaps the most common date in the Indian quarter eagle series, many 1927s are also used for type purposes. There is a good reason for this. This date was produced at a high standard in terms of strike and luster. Many were obviously well-cared for during the subsequent years of the Great Depression. As a result, high quality examples such as this piece have come down to us in near-Gem and even Gem condition. This piece is sharply defined, and the surfaces glow with mint luster. Both sides show rich reddish patina with just a touch of lilac on the lower portion of the Native American's portrait.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
