1926-S 25C MS65 Full Head PCGS. The 1926-S is tied with the 1927-S as the most poorly impressed S-mint Standing Liberty Quarter from the 1920s. Cline believes that the '26-S may be the most underrated strike and condition rarity in this series. It is always an occasion of pride when we can offer a Full Head representative, but to offer a fully impressed Gem is truly the sign of an important sale. This coin is richly frosted with a blanket of lilac-gray patina overall. Streaks of tan iridescence are noted on the reverse, orange-russet colors cling to the obverse border. A shallow scrape on Liberty's chin is noted for pedigree purposes, but the surfaces are still expectantly abrasion-free for the assigned grade. Certainly among the finest 1926-S Quarters extant, both in terms of striking quality and surface preservation. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
