<B>1926-S $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth write of the 1926-S double eagle that: "The rather impressive mintage (of 2,041,500 pieces) was all but obliterated from the public's hands, though a few have turned up in overseas bank hoards." This near-Gem example displays pleasing luster and tan-gold color, along with sharply struck design elements.
