1926-D 5C MS66 PCGS. The Denver and San Francisco Mint
1926-D<5C> MS66 PCGS. The Denver and San Francisco Mint issues from the mid-twenties are generally found with poor design details, when they are found in Mint State grades at all. This Gem example is one of the sharpest we have seen, regardless of numerical grade. With the exception of the immediate central design elements on each side, every detail is fully defined, including the split in the bison's tail. Only the wooly coat at the top of the front leg exhibits any weakness of design. This example, which essentially represents the finest available quality, has satiny luster and remarkable eye appeal. The surfaces have deep gray color with vivid gold, pale blue, and violet toning. Population: 18 in 66, 1 finer (6/06).
