1926-D<5C> MS65 PCGS. The 1926-D issue is notorious as the single worst-struck issue in a series rife with poorly produced issues. The present example, however, is a pleasing exception, with detail on both sides that is far and away superior, especially on the reverse. Although a bit of softness shows on the rear hind leg, the tail is nearly split, and much detail shows on the head and shoulder. Delicate lilac and gold toning graces each side, and abrasions are few and inconsequential. PCGS has graded 19 pieces finer (9/06).
