The design has ample exposed fields, but the true grade-limiting factor is usually the low-relief design combined with the strike on Washington's cheek, which usually shows blemishes that were on the planchet before striking. While this moderately toned and lustrous example is not fully struck on the cheek, the definition is above average, and the surfaces are beautifully preserved. Both services combined have certified only 20 pieces finer (9/06).
