<B>1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS66 PCGS.</B></I> With a net mintage of just over 46,000 pieces, the Sesquicentennial is one of the most available classic gold commemoratives, provided grade is not a concern. Like its half dollar counterpart, however, the quarter eagle is prized for its perceived elusiveness in Gem, and finding an example above that level presents an even greater challenge.<BR> This Premium Gem offers a distinct increase in quality from the MS65 pieces that are much more prevalent in the numismatic marketplace. The devices are boldly detailed, a surprising attribute for this shallow-relief issue, and the butter-yellow surfaces show vibrant luster with a hint of frostiness on the reverse.
