<B>1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Seldom do examples of this commemorative gold piece appear in such high quality, tied for the finest certified by PCGS. Approximately 46,000 coins were sold, far fewer than Congress authorized, but far greater than any other gold commemorative issue. The production represents a third of the total mintage of all gold commemoratives from 1903 to 1926. The surfaces of this Premium Gem have frosty yellow-gold luster with traces of pink toning at the centers. It is sharply struck and nearly free of marks.
