1926<$2 1/2> Sesquicentennial MS66 PCGS. The last of the early gold commemoratives, struck to celebrate the sesquicentennial of American Independence, and initially sold as souvenirs at the Sesquicentennial Exposition, in Philadelphia, between June and November of 1926. On the obverse, Liberty holds the Declaration of Independence in one hand and the Torch of Freedom in the other. The reverse features a representation of Independence Hall. This Premium Gem is highly lustrous with deep orange-gold color, and shows only the faintest evidence of coin-to-coin contact, unseen without a magnifier.
