1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS66 NGC. The entirely too high original mintages and subsequent meltings of classic commemoratives are as much of a constant for that category as anything else. The Sesquicentennial quarter eagles of 1926 went largely unsold, with over three-quarters of the original mintage returned to the Mint and reduced to bullion. Of the 46,019 pieces released, this representative is one of the finest survivors. The vibrant luster and shining canary-gold surfaces greatly enhance this piece's visual appeal. A trifle soft on the devices as always, but the fields are exquisitely preserved. Elusive in this condition and extremely rare any finer, with just three such pieces certified by the major services, all graded by NGC (7/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
