<B>1926 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Bela Lyon Pratt's coinage designs were intended to improve the amount of detail preserved on worn representatives. Paradoxically, the exposed fields often sustain significant abrasions, a fact that reduces the number of higher-grade Mint State pieces available, and Gems such as this are elusive. The apricot-gold surfaces have pleasing luster and above-average detail, as well as few marks overall.
