1926<$2 1/2> MS65 PCGS. A sharply struck and highly lustrous Gem with excellent eye appeal. A small splash of copper color can be seen at star 10. A few other flecks of copper toning are also visible. The Philadelphia Mint did not strike quarter eagles between 1916 and 1925, then struck two issues of the denomination in 1926, one of which was the Sesquicentennial commemorative. PCGS has only certified 37 finer examples of this date (9/06).
