1926<$10> MS65 PCGS. The second most common Indian Head eagle aside from the ubiquitous and ever-popular 1932 issue, the 1926 may be a good choice for someone who wants a well-produced type coin of a slightly better date. The present piece shows a few minor contact marks consistent with the Gem grade, but it lacks the many marks often found on coins of this date. The lustrous surfaces are quite appealing, with orange-gold tinges on both sides. Seldom found any finer: PCGS has graded only eight examples finer (9/06).
From The Hamburg-Sonoma Collection.
