<B>1926 $1 VAM-2, Doubled Reverse, Top 50 Variety, MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Attributed by doubling on the olive leaves and stems, the eagle's back leg feathers, and the internal rays. The <I>Official Guide to the Top 50 Peace Dollar Varieties</B></I> (2002) states that "... this variety is not a major rarity. However, of the two hundred or so Peace dollar die varieties now cataloged by Van Allen/Mallis, only a handful can compare with the strength of the doubling on this reverse. Indeed, what the VAM 2 lacks in terms of rarity, it more than makes up in desirability." Bright luster adorns well preserved surfaces on this Premium Gem specimen.
