<B>1925-S S$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1925-S is one of several Peace dollar issues that are readily available up through MS64, yet become elusive in Gem and better grades. Most experts consider the 1925-S to be among the most difficult issues to acquire so fine, second fiddle to only the 1928-S and its ilk. On this piece, the seemingly soft strike is actually above-average for this issue, particularly in the centers. Small dots of violet and brown patina cluster at the reverse periphery, while they extend toward the center on the obverse. The fields are clean overall and hardly any flaws are present on the eagle, though four parallel marks are noted on the cheek of Liberty.
