All are challenging to track down in the finest Mint State grades. Our delight in offering this handsome MS66 knows no bounds. We are pleased to be able to acquaint bidders with this first-rate Gem and encourage the Buffalo Nickel specialists among our clientele to give it consideration.

Not to be repetitive, but the coin really is remarkable. Both sides are very well struck for the issue with overall bold delineation on the major devices. Only the faintest trace of softening in the highpoint detail is found. This is mainly on the reverse at the bison's head, shoulder and tail but comparison with similar pieces places the coin at the front of the line in terms of its overall detail. As if this feature were not sufficient, we might also point to the gleaming surfaces. Both sides are fully lustrous, satiny in sheen. They are devoid of grade-limiting blemishes. Finally, extremely impressive nickel-gray iridescence rounds out the long list of positive qualities. It is clear to this cataloger that the consignor must have hunted a great while before he found himself this '25-D Nickel. High Condition Census! Pop 8; 2 finer in 66 Star.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.
