1925-D $20 MS64 PCGS. Ex: Brahin. The Guide Book states that 2,938,500 double eagles were struck at Denver in 1925. But one might as well run a magic marker across the mintage figure, since third party population data suggests that only a few hundred pieces have survived, nearly all in AU58 and higher grades. MS64 is the highest collectible grade of the issue, and there are insufficient examples at that level to satisfy the many date and mintmark collectors of the popular series. This lustrous representative features rich peach and green-gold patina. The strike is assertive, despite slight softness on the raised knee and on the Capitol dome. Small marks can be located beneath a glass, but none distract. Those who aspire to own key date double eagles should note the present opportunity. Population: 74 in 64, 5 finer (10/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
