<B>1925-D $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The final five quarter eagle issues, those of 1925-1929, are the most commonly collected for type purposes. While the 1925-D, the highest-mintage of those issues, is common in lesser grades, even it becomes elusive as a Gem. The present piece is one such coin. The frosty amber-gold surfaces have a touch of green, and the devices are well struck. A cursory inspection indicates a high-quality coin, yet it is not until one looks closely that this example's comparative lack of marks stands out.
