<B>Autographed 1924 World Flight Memorabilia,</B></I> two items as follows: Signed Photograph, 11” x 14”, inscribed, “<I>To Cliff Henderson in appreciation of his untiring efforts in managing and directing the greatest air meets in history to date. From Henry H. Ogden Member of the First World Flight 1924.</B></I>” Ogden is shown in his U.S. Air Service lieutenant's uniform. Marginal chips and stains, good condition. The second item is a book, <B><I>The First World Flight</B></I></B></I> by Lowell Thomas (New York and Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1925), 328 pages, 8vo, blue card covers. Two front free endpapers have 1976 dedications to Cliff Henderson from Brooke E. Allen, Henry H. Ogden and Leigh Wade. Brooke Allen was a highly decorated Air Force major-general, whereas Ogden and Leigh were both participants in the famed 1924 flight. Wear to covers, two ex-libris plates. Very good condition. Three Douglas aircraft flew westward from Seattle on April 4, 1924 and returned from the eastern skies 175 days later on September 28, 1924.
