1924-S $20 MS64 NGC. Golden-rose, pastel-blue, and deeper orange-gold colors alternate as the coin rotates into and out of the light. The uncommonly sharp strike is praiseworthy, as are the surfaces, which do not reveal any abrasions that are out of context with the assigned grade. A satiny textured example destined for an advanced gold collection. The 1924-S double eagle is a condition rarity that is virtually unobtainable any finer than this piece. It is only due to European holdings of gold that this date is not extinct. Nearly all examples that were not exported in the late 1920s and early 1930s were melted during the gold recall of 1933.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
