<B>1924-D<$20> AU55 NGC.</B></I> The 1924-D has a higher mintage than the 1923-D, but is many times more rare. Presumably, only a few bags escaped the smelter after the 1933 gold recall. This lustrous example probably never circulated, but displays light friction from brief non-numismatic handling. Wear is limited to the chest and raised knee. The Capitol building is softly struck.
