<B>1924 5C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> 1924 nickels are much less common than their mintage of 21.620 million suggests (David Lange, 2006). Moreover, they are often found weakly struck. The Premium Gem in this lot is perhaps somewhat better defined than most, though some of the typical weakness seen in the hair over the bison's forehead is still present. Lustrous surfaces take on a golden-orange, lilac, and bluish-gray cast, and are devoid of mentionable abrasions or spots. Population: 65 in 66, 4 finer (8/07).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James E.
