1924 50C Huguenot MS67 NGC. Clash marks from the sails are present above the Coligny's nose and near the left (facing) mustache of William the Silent. Delicate golden patina graces much of this Huguenot half, while splashes of russet color appear at the periphery. Soft, pleasing luster shines beneath the toning, and the portraits and ship show strong detail. An attractive example of this classic commemorative, one that remains controversial to this day due to its apparent violation of the Establishment Clause. One of 34 Superb Gems graded by NGC, with none finer (6/07).
From The Frank DuVall Collection of U.S. Commemoratives.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information\)
