<B>1923-S 50C Monroe MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Along with the Panama-Pacific, Vancouver, and California Diamond Jubilee issues, the Monroe is one of several commemorative issues with a West Coast connection. The Monroe also ranks as one of the issues least acclaimed by numismatists of the time, one of many factors that rendered it the condition rarity it is today. The luster is surprisingly bright for this issue and made even more impressive by the rich blue-green and reddish-bronze patina that adorns the surfaces. A remarkable example of this prized issue that is housed in a first-generation holder.
