1923-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS. Rarely seen with full red color and even scarcer with full red surfaces. The 1923-S is almost uniformly softly defined and shows the effects of eroded dies. This piece shows splendid, rich cherry-red surfaces; however, the usually expected softness is seen on each side. There is also evidence on each side that worn or buckled dies were used on both obverse and reverse. Excellent color and nearly carbon-free surfaces. Population: 58 in 64, 16 finer (8/07).

Coin Engraver: Victor D.
