1923-S $1 Peace Dollar--Strike-Through, Scratched--ANACS. AU Details, Net XF40. A defective planchet, feeder finger, or some other layer of scrap metal (not included) came between the reverse die and the present piece. The reverse border shows detail, and the eagle's wing is partly outlined, but most of the design is absent. The obverse has a normal appearance given its light circulation. The wing has several relatively deep scratches inflicted by a curious recipient, and there are numerous but much lighter marks on the portrait.

Coin Engraver: Anthony de Francisci

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
