<B>1923-S $1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> A condition rarity is defined as a coin that appears to be common, but is seldom seen in high grades. Such is the case with the '23-S Peace dollar, with a mintage of 19 million coins, and enough examples are available that any collector can acquire an attractive piece. However, survivors in full Gem condition are seldom encountered. For example PCGS has only certified 102 MS65 examples, and just three coins are finer (2/08). This translates to one Gem for every 190,000 coins originally minted! This coin is slightly soft in the central obverse, but with all other details generally sharp.
